Lil Wayne has been teasing the release of his imminent album I Am Not a Human Being II, but all through a visit to the 2012 X Games this week a fan quizzed him about a drop date for the fifth repayment in his Carter series, and Wayne says that fans should expect Tha Carter V in 2013.
After revealing his favorite thing about the X Games (“X Games is a higher level of competition- I’ve been to a few other contest and this one is the best”) he gave a quick line on the album, adage, “Carter V will come most likely next year.”
Before Carter V arrives in 2013, but, Wayne is expected to drop I Am Not a Human Being II later this year. Birdman recently told MTV News that fans will be surprised by the content. “It’s something really different from Wayne,” Birdman said. “Really, for me, I’m a fan of him, but he really goes so hard in so many different ways, it’s like magic for me to watch him place his mindset together.”
“What he made with this I Am Not a Human [Being] II is a perfect work of art, and he’s just being Tunechi,” Baby continued. “Really though, he’s one of the greatest artists ever, and his work ethic and body of work gonna show that. It’s an incredible album. Just expect greatness, expect somethin’ that you never heard before. It’s a new Wayne, a new and improved Wayne.”
In June, at Atlanta’s Birthday Bash celebration, Wayne confirmed that the album was complete and his manager Cortez Bryant estimates that it will arrive this fall.
