When you reckon of female rappers in Hip-Hop, the first name that comes to mind would doubtless be Nicki Minaj, who for the past few years has dominated the female rap game all by her lonesome.
But according to Wiz Khalifa, his artist Lola Monroe — who recently signed to his Taylor Gang collective as the mark’s “first lady” — is the best female rapper, and in his opinion, she’s even better than Nicki Minaj.
“Lola Monroe, she’s the First Lady of Taylor Gang, she’s the only chick that raps in Taylor Gang,” Wiz clarified in a recent interview, when he was the interviewer compared Lola to Nicki Minaj and newcomer Iggy Azalea.
“She’s iller than any female artist I’ve ever heard in my life,” he continued. “She’s so much better than any female…just her lyrical ability. I know a lot of people say that shit, but she’s from D.C., and nobody’s heard that tale before…from a female. You’ve heard all these other tales and all this other shit, but you have heard her’s yet, so I feel she’s different, she’s better.”
